🚶‍♀️ WOW! Our First Walk to School Badges Have Arrived! 🚶‍♂️

Today we were delighted to hand out our first WOW Walk to School Challenge active travel badges for September!

As we only started recording our journeys towards the end of September, we had just one week of travel to count. For September, children have therefore received a badge if they recorded at least one active journey during that week.

🍂 The October Challenge is underway!

We are now busy recording active journeys for October. To earn an October badge, children need to record at least one active journey each week throughout the month.

Active travel can include walking, cycling or scooting. If you live too far away to walk the whole journey, why not Park and Stride? Families can park away from the school and walk the final part of the journey.

Traffic around school is particularly busy at the moment, so we would really appreciate families helping us to reduce congestion by parking further away, for example at the Co-op, Proper Job or Health Centre, and striding the final part of the journey.

Every active journey helps us to:

• 🏃 Keep our children active
• 🌱 Reduce pollution around our school
• 🚗 Reduce traffic and congestion at the school gates
• 🚶 Make the area around school safer and more pleasant for everyone

Let’s see how many children can earn their October badge!
