Here are a few things we have been up to at Mendip Green this week…
Maths this week in EYFS has focused on addition facts to five and we are pretty happy with our learning! That said, our provision also provides us with opportunities to explore many other concepts such as money and capacity. Lots of fun!
Year 1 have been exploring with water colours this week and have created some wonderful self portraits. The level of detail in the work they have produced has been amazing and we are very excited to see what these budding artists do next!!
Year 2 have been reading and following instructions this week in writing. They enjoyed following instructions for creating a 3D Christmas card so that they could write their own instructions for others.
Year 3 have been learning a Latin dance. We were impressed their moves!
Netball has been the name of the game for Year 4 in PE. This week they learned all the different positions, where they can go on the court and did various drills to practice their shooting technique
Year 5 have been learning skills in netball this term. No rain is stopping these sport stars!
Year 6 have been using TinkerCAD to 3D model on computers. Thank goodness for our many in-class computer pros, as it can be a bit tricky!
