The sun has shone for us today and the children have had such a fun day. The day has been incredibly busy with archery, caving and an assault course followed by an epic water fight.
Despite such a long day, the children were not sleepy at all. Nope. Not one bit! Turns out Group B are a bunch of night owls. If they turn out to be Early Birds as well we might cry!

Dear Parents/Carers of Group A Campers,
If your child has ‘slept’ overnight at school, we have some useful information for you. Next time they try to tell you it is too early to get up and they are too tired, do not believe them. It is a hoax! They are trying to pull the wool over your eyes.
This band of ‘happy’ campers has absolutely no problem with an early morning wake up.
We have been playing ‘whack a mole’ since 4:45am!
The only answer they have had so far to ‘Is it time for breakfast?’ and ‘Can we get up now?’ has been a resounding no!
It is 6:35am. We have lost this war… we surrender 🏳️ Send coffee ☕️

Photos from Mendip Green School's post We have had 2 visits from Gina and the Money Ready team this term.
Our work with Money Ready is part of our PSHE curriculum (the E stands for economics) and helps to teach children about spending money wisely, the importance of saving and the concepts of ‘borrowing’.
The Year 1 children took part in a fabulous Money Ready. The children enjoyed hearing a great story called Save Your Acorns! They then played games and undertook activities to develop awareness of coins and money. They all had lots of fun!
Year 2 enjoyed their money matters workshop. They learnt about budgeting and managing their money - an important life skill.

Photos from Mendip Green School's post We have had a fantastic day learning about Rail Safety following a recent visit. All children joined assemblies that helped educate them about how to stay safe near railways. We were joined by Network Rail, Great Western Railway, the British Transport Police and the Police, who all delivered workshops to children throughout the day. You might see children coming home with a sticker, pencil, money box or train squidgy! A hugely successful and fun day that has helped develop awareness of how to be safe around railways.
